Meditations on Red (Edition I) was a communally prepared and shared ritual meal that occurred in its first iteration at Ellipses Open School in 2022. Together with fellow participants under an almost full moon, Maia offered poetic exploration of the colour red (in all its rage and passion) through the preparation of various red foods, known for their medicinal properties and heart opening abilities. Participants explored food as a love language, a form of tacit knowledge and as a site of alchemical transformation. Meditations on Red is an iterative workshop, metamorphosing with time and emotional tides.
